# Governance

We view decentralization as the imminent future of blockchain. It allows users to play an active role in the project ecosystem decisions, giving the community a major advantage.

## The Landboard DAO

Powered by the [LAND governance token](https://docs.landboard.io/tokens), the Landboard DAO has (and will soon gain) power to:

* propose actions
* discuss and change current approaches in implementation
* change key parameters to Smart Contracts
* gain a percentage of all transactions and revenue (DAO Revenue 🌱)

The DAO, ultimately, has direct impact on the Landboard Ecosystem's future.

## Status

The Landboard DAO is already **live and running** since August 2022! 

Superciety has done a great job on [hosting DAOs on their platform](https://superciety.com/explore?tab=entities) and we are one of its early adopters and beneficiants.
