# Hubs

To further advance our ecosystem and provide a real use of current Metaverse technology, we've decided to start working on Hubs - a 3D virtual spaces platform for the **next billion users.**

Powered by Mozilla, Hubs allow you to create powerful 3D virtual spaces with a single click.

## Use cases

> *Host a conference, teach a class, showcase art, or just hang out with friends. Hubs makes it easy to connect and share images, videos, 3D models, and more. With Hubs' spatialized audio you can have conversations with everyone together or break out into smaller groups — just like you can in person.*

We're currently exploring linking Hubs scenes and rooms with existing Landboard Tiles - thus allowing users to host virtual events in real life locations.

## Supported platforms

Hubs works on several platforms. Got a VR headset? Awesome! If not, you can explore in 3D using a desktop computer, laptop, tablet, or even your smartphone.

## Open-source software

One of the main benefits of Hubs is its core team. Started 3 years ago by Mozilla, the Hubs platform is a great starting point for the Metaverse economy of Landboard.

Being fully open-source and notorious, there are plently tutorials and resources for better understanding the platform.

Our plan is to work on improving the current functionalities, adding Elrond integration and creating an entire on-chain economy.

## Learn more

The best resource for learning more about Hubs is their own Documentation hub, which you can find [here](https://hubs.mozilla.com/docs/welcome.html).
